This message will be the last one posted by the old list server. The new program will be a standard Mailman list server under UNIX. The subscribers of ION will get a welcome message from the new list server. In order to obtain general information on its usage (subscribing, unsubscribing, modifying your personal settings, etc., please visit the page https://sunserv.kfki.hu/mailman/listinfo/ion To post to ION, send your email to: ion@lists.kfki.hu The contribution will be published in the ION, a mail automatically sent to all subscribers of the list. ION will operate as an unmoderated and restricted list. This means, everybody may subscribe to ION at any time but only contributions from subscribers will be published automatically. Contributions from other addresses will be sent to the list administrator first who, after some time, will decide if the contribution may be published or not. This policy seems to be necessary to avoid posting spam mails to the list. We expect you to announce all news about attractive events on ion beam methods, techniques taking place anywhere, e.g.: - Brief announcements of upcoming conferences, workshops and seminars. Please preferably do not send circulars, forms, etc. as attachment to the list. Instead, post the URL of the website of the meeting. - Status reports of groups and facilities of common interest. - Announcements on vacancies. - Looking for a job. - Looking for a sample. - Looking for cooperation. - Information on techniques, detectors, software, etc. ION Archive is reachable from the main page of the list https://sunserv.kfki.hu/mailman/listinfo/ion You are kindly asked to pass this announcement to colleagues whose e-mail address may not yet in the list. Subscription is expected from all people engaged or interested in these methods or any other one utilizing ion beams.
