It is available from SigmaBase at http://ibaserver.physics.isu.edu/sigmabase/ in the programs section. SIMNRA is a Microsoft Windows 95/Windows NT program with fully graphical user interface for the simulation of backscattering spectra for ion beam analysis with MeV ions. SIMNRA is mainly intended for the simulation of non-Rutherford backscattering, nuclear reaction analysis and elastic recoil detection analysis (ERDA) with swift or heavy ions. About 300 different non-Rutherford and nuclear reactions cross-sections for incident protons, deuterons, 3He and 4He-ions are included. Version 4.0 has the following improvements: - - Improved stopping powers for elements: The stopping powers for swift and heavy ions now are identical to Ziegler's SRIM 97. The older Andersen-Ziegler stopping powers still can be used. - - Improved fitting algorithm. - - Different detector energy resolutions for different ions. - - About 30 new cross-sections for non-Rutherford scattering and nuclear reactions have been added, including the bug fix for some proton cross-section data files from SigmaBase.
