Program RADDAM

PROGRAM RADDAM:RADIATION DAMAGE EFFECTS OF HIGH-ENERGY PARTICLES protons (with the energy up to 100 GeV),neutrons,hard and light nuclei on target`s material. Program able to simulate these radiation damage by using SHIELD nucleon-meson transport code and the theory of Lindhard et al. (the well-known so-called NRT-standard). As compared with the well-known NMTC radiation damage code RADDAM code includes the radiation damage ef- fects of high-energy spallation nucleons (with the energies above 30 MeV) and geometry-dependent damage energy for moderated neutrons.In fact NMTC code does not keep track of energy transfers due to elastic neutron scat- tering, whereas RADDAM does. A tipical calculation needs about 1 hour CPU time on VAX computer. The program can be accessed from: Sergey Lebedev (lebedev@inr.msk.su).
