the author who will present the paper should be underlined.

TECHNICAL SESSIONS
Papers will be delivered in both poster and oral (plenary (45 min), invited (30 min)
and contributed (20 min)) sessions over the five days of the Conference. The
language of the meeting will be English. There will be two parallel sessions.
MANUFACTURER'S EXHIBITION
A manufacturer's exhibition will be held together with the poster sessions and also
during the coffee breaks. The companies interested should contact the Conference
Secretariat.

The Conference will take place at the 5 star Alfa Hotel centrally located in Lisbon.
The Alfa Hotel offers very special rates (please use the Hotel Reservation Form):

* Participant with accompanying person (including buffet breakfast, but lunch

POST CONFERENCE TOUR August 2-3
LISBOA - OBIDOS - BATALHA - TOMAR - LISBOA
Saturday August 2
Departure from the Alfa Hotel in the morning, driving northwards.
You will have the opportunity to visit the medieval town of Obidos. The tour
proceeds to Batalha to visit the monastery of Santa Maria da Vitoria, an excellent
example of the Manueline style of decorative art.
Lunch en route.
Proceed to Tomar. Check in at the Hotel dos Templ rios. Rest of the afternoon
free for independent activities (having a swim at the hotel's swimming pool or just
stroll around this lovely town).
** Tomar was the Portuguese headquarters of the medieval military Order of the
Knights Templar. At Tomar you will visit the Monastery of Christ (UNESCO
World Heritage) and the Castle of the Templars.
Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Sunday August 3
Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
Morning cruise of the Z©zere river. Lunch in the club-house.
Return to Lisbon. Accommodation at the Alfa Hotel.
