Staff
The directorate has 18 employees. 13 of them
have university degrees and there is also a small workshop and facilities
for designing and producing electronic devices. There are three research
fields:
*
Nuclear Measurements
* Real-Time systems
* Biomedical Engineering.
Facilities
Technical equipment used by the department has a wide spectrum: e.g. special
analog measuring equipments (pulsers, scopes, signal generators), digital
logical analysers. Computers are widely used for technical construction (DEC,
MicroVAX) and PCB development (IBM-PC, PADS), and also for CAE (IBM-PC, Xilinx).
For real-time system developments a VME development system is used with OS-9
(Microware) and Valet-Plus, and a MULTIBUS-II starter kit with RMOS2 operating
system (Siemens). An SMD assembling station is used for prototyping the circuits.
