The manuscript contains 12 miniatures attributed to the Master of the Chronique scandaleuse. Pierre Sala was a French poet and scribe, who wrote love poems to his mistress, Marguerite Bullioud. His portrait on folio 17 is attributed to Jean Perréal.
The miniature in folio 6 depicts Pierre Sala dropping 'his' heart in a marguerite [Marguerite Builloud]. The Master of the Chronique scandaleuse left the face of Pierre Sala unfinished in this miniature for Jean Perréal, who did not complete it.
