This painting shows a scene of familial harmony, its concord facilitated by wines cooling to the right. This outdoor musical party features the Flemish painter David Teniers the Younger at the cello as the Ape of Imitation tries to dislodge a stone finial just overhead in order to end the concert precipitously.
