Kneeling Man (verso)

1494-96
Pen and brown ink, 292 x 200 mm

The model for the figure of a man kneeling on the floor on the verso of the sheet depicting three standing men has not been identified. It is also a copy after a work by a Florentine master; the names of Pesellino, Masaccio, or Ghirlandaio have been variously suggested by scholars as the possible source.
