This is one of the sculpted panels that are now inserted into the wall of the reliquary chapel in the treasury of San Marco. It represents the delivery of the law, that is, Christ giving his new law to the apostles through St Peter and St Paul. The figure of Christ projects from the niche in which he is sculpted with deeply incised lines.
