The opening of the chapels at the end of the 13th century partly damaged the frescoes painted from the 1250s, mainly by the Master of St Francis. However, large sections remained intact.
This view shows the north wall of the nave with the partly destroyed scenes from the life of Christ by the Master of St Francis.
