This is the left wing of a diptych. The right wing represents the Madonna with the Child. The composition of the Holy Trinity is rather frequent in 15th century Netherlandish art. It is called the Throne of Mercy.
The diptych demonstrates the tendencies and peculiarities of a transitional period in Netherlandish art, when traditions derived from icon painting quaintly combine with realistic innovations.
