The decoration of the Sala del Risorgimento was the last painting project carried out in the Palazzo Pubblico in Siena. The frescoes are by Cesare Maccari and Pietro Aldi (1852-1888), the statues and marble busts by Emilio Gallori (1846-1924) and Tito Sarrocci (1824-1900).
