In this monument, the doge rests in a sumptuous catafalque beneath a projecting baldachin with a barrel vault. The bed itself rests upon a sarcophagus with niches containing the seven Virtues. Tullio did not personally do all the sculptures. A sculptor totally dedicated to classical , toga-clad figures carved the Virtues on the sarcophagus.
