This bronze figure of Liberty is part of the tomb of William (Willem) the Silent. It is on the right of the prince, a strong female figure in classical garb. In her right hand she holds a sceptre, the symbol of her dominion. The gilt helmet in her left hand has the inscription Aurea Libertas - 'golden liberty'.
