Camillo Boccaccino was the son of Boccaccio Boccaccino. He was highly gifted but died too young. Together with Giulio Campi he represents the apogee of the Cremonese School. He was trained in Venice in accordance with the works of Titian, Sebastiano del Piombo, and Bordone. He shows many similarities to Correggio, despite never having been his pupil.
