This double page (folio 13v and 14r) shows, on the right, the calendar for the month of December, including a list of the relevant saints' days and, on the left, the corresponding monthly picture. This is an interior scene, depicting a hall with a wooden ceiling and fireplace - a typical motif for a winter month in a Flemish Calendar. The room is illuminated with candles and torches as a banquet is being held.
