Physics Today, the "trade journal" for physicists, is sent to all
members of the 10 societies that make up the AIP (American Institute of
Physics). Physics Today can be found in the science or physics
libraries of most universities and physics research insititutes. It is
also available to individuals and organizations by subscription.

Physics Today is published monthly. The August issue comes in two
parts: Part 1 is a regular issue; Part 2 is the annual Buyers' Guide. A
few issues each year are special issues with a larger than usual
complement of feature articles, all devoted to a single topic. Topics
covered by special issues in recent years have included Environmental
Physics, High-Performance Computing, and Communicating Physics to the
Public.

Each issue of Physics Today contains a variety of feature articles and
departments, including reports on recent discoveries, editorial columns
by distinguished physicists, news of political developments of
importance to physicists, news from the physics community, and a
vigorous letters column.

This online version of the journal includes brief abstracts, generally a
few lines to one paragraph.
