This manuscript was created in the Benedictine Abbey of St. Bertin in Saint-Omer. The pen drawing on folio 1r of the manuscript represents the depiction of the earthly Jerusalem, the map of Palestine. The drawing at the bottom of the folio shows Christian knights who are putting Muslim mounted warriors to flight. The knight on the white horse is St George.
