Biography

Flemish painter who painted hunting scenes and still-lifes in the style of Frans Snyders. He was the brother of the painter Cornelis de Vos (1584-1651) and the brother-in-law of Snyders. In 1637 Snyders and the de Vos brothers helped Rubens execute pictures for the Torre de la Parada, Philip IV of Spain's hunting-lodge near Madrid.
